Launched in 2005, AFIG Funds is a fund management company and one of the first African players in Private Equity in Africa, with offices in Dakar, Washington DC and Johannesburg. AFIG Funds currently manages the ACRF fund, a USD 122 million fund, or about 61 billion XOF, to which institutions and funds such as Africa Re, AfDB, EIB, CDC, or IFC subscribed.

The ACRF fund is a generalist fund investing in various sectors (manufacturing, financial services, agribusiness, etc.) and targeting companies in the West and Central Africa region which are at a crucial stage of their development and which are looking for capital and a strategic partner to complete their development and expansion projects. AFIG Funds is bridging this gap investing in these companies.

Today, the ACRF portfolio consists of seven companies, located in more than ten countries in Africa, including Ghana, Liberia, Rwanda, Senegal and Chad. These companies are active in a variety of industries such as agrochemicals, bus assembly, financial services, distribution of petroleum and gas products and mining services.

AFIG Funds is made of a diverse African team that has a wealth of international experience and uses the best practices in finance and management in a disciplined approach. The team continues to explore many other opportunities for investment and intends to increase its funds under management in order to expand its footprint on the continent and to create a first-class operator of Private Equity in Africa.
